Game Recap

This was a great final home game for our Seniors! The Pioneers came ready to play at the start of the game and so did the Broncos. At the end of the first quarter they were tied with three goals each. It was in the second quarter that the Pioneers really showed that they were ready to play, outscoring Parkrose 7-2. The third quarter of this game highlighted the hard work Sandy has put in to improving their defense, leaving Parkrose scoreless this quarter – this was also an excellent showing from our new goalie, Jenee Spencer, not letting any goals into the back of the net with 5 saves in the third quarter alone. Sandy was able to hold their lead and add a few more goals in the second half of the game, getting all girls playing time. The girls team is now gearing up for the state playoffs with a great showing for their last game. Boys had to forfeit the final game of the season due to lack of players.

Stat leaders: Emma Donahue (1 steal), Esther Hubbard (3 goals, 3 assists, 2 steals), Jossie Nowlin (1 goal), Hana Wigzell (4 goals, 1 assist, 2 steals), Morgan Seipert (3 goals, 1 steal), Gabby Webber (5 goals, 4 assists, 4 steals), Jenee Spencer (7 saves), Keeley Rasmussen (7 saves).
